I’ve been teaching Mathematics and Computer Science to students from Class 1 to 5 for the past 7 years. Alongside these subjects, I also teach Science and English when needed, as I enjoy working with a wide range of topics in primary education. Teaching young learners has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and over the years, I’ve developed a teaching style that’s flexible, engaging, and highly responsive to individual learning needs.

My academic journey started with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA), which gave me a strong foundation in technology and computing. Later, I pursued a Master’s degree in Information Technology (MSc IT) to further deepen my understanding of the subject. To strengthen my skills as an educator, I also completed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree. This has helped me better understand child psychology, pedagogy, and how to handle varied learning paces in a classroom.

Throughout my 7 years of teaching in schools, I’ve had the privilege to watch many of my students improve not just academically, but also in their confidence and curiosity towards learning. My classroom is always student-centric — I design my lessons keeping in mind the child’s understanding level, pace, and interests. I believe that foundational years are crucial, and it’s essential to nurture a love for learning at this stage.

I usually conduct online classes and prefer one-on-one or small group formats, which allow me to give personal attention to each child. I follow a structured approach using lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, but I also leave room for creativity and interaction. My sessions are always interactive — I ask questions, encourage students to express their thoughts, and give them tasks that make them think beyond the textbook.

To ensure clarity and engagement, I use a mix of digital tools such as PowerPoint presentations and an online whiteboard. This combination helps break down complex topics into simpler parts and keeps the young learners visually engaged. It also helps parents monitor what their children are learning.

Parents have often shared that their children look forward to my sessions, and that’s something I truly value. I take feedback seriously and continuously work on improving my teaching methods. Whether it’s helping a student grasp multiplication or understand how computers work, I aim to make learning enjoyable and stress-free.

I believe teaching is not just about imparting knowledge — it’s about building confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for learning. Every child is different, and I consider it my job to adapt to their needs while helping them meet their academic goals. It’s this balance of structure and empathy that I strive to bring into every session.

Teaching isn’t just a profession for me; it’s something that brings me joy and purpose. Each class is an opportunity to inspire, support, and make a positive impact on a child’s learning journey.
