While I haven’t been a full-time teacher in a school or college, I do have teaching experience through mentoring and training roles. In my last job, I onboarded 6 new team members and ran internal workshops on data analysis tools. My approach was similar to a classroom: I’d assess what people already knew, explain the concept with a concrete example, then give them a task to try it themselves. I found that people learn best when they can connect new info to something they’ve already done, and when they get immediate feedback. One thing I learned is that “understanding” looks different for everyone.
