Samar Mishra

I teach Economics to students of Class 11 and 12, with a focus on making the subject both understandable and relevant. With a Ph.D. in Economics and over three years of teaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to guide students through both the foundational and advanced aspects of the subject. My aim is to help learners not only score well in exams but also develop a strong conceptual base that they can carry forward in their academic or professional journey.

My teaching journey began at the university level, where I taught undergraduate Economics courses and mentored students in both theory and applied aspects. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of how Economics connects with the real world and how important it is to explain the logic behind every concept. I’ve since extended my teaching to school students, especially those in Classes 11 and 12, allowing me to refine my approach to suit younger learners as well.

Over the years, I’ve learned to balance academic rigor with approachability. My goal is not just to finish the syllabus, but to ensure that every student I work with is able to apply economic reasoning confidently — whether it’s understanding microeconomic behavior or tackling national income accounting. I make my classes as interactive as possible, encouraging questions and discussion so that students can think critically rather than simply memorize.

I conduct classes offline, as I find that face-to-face interaction enhances communication and builds better academic rapport. I follow a structured lesson plan, but I’m always flexible depending on the student’s learning pace and comfort level. Every session is designed to be interactive, often including real-world case studies, diagrams, graphs, and numerical problems that mirror exam-style questions.

In terms of teaching aids, I use PPTs and videos to present visual explanations of complex topics. These resources, combined with live discussions, help reinforce learning. I also regularly provide handwritten and digital notes to support revision and give students a clear roadmap for exam preparation.

What drives me is the joy of seeing students understand and even enjoy Economics — a subject often considered difficult or abstract. Whether a student is preparing for their board exams or simply trying to improve their academic foundation, I aim to be a reliable guide throughout their learning process.
