Priya Sachan

I am Priya Sachan, a Hindustani vocal music educator with 6 years of teaching experience in training students at beginner and intermediate levels. My journey in music has been both academic and practical, and I am deeply committed to helping learners develop strong vocal foundations and a true appreciation for classical music.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Vocal Hindustani Music, which has provided me with a strong classical base in music theory and vocal techniques. In addition, I have completed a BBA from CCS University. Along with my academic qualifications, I have spent years undergoing practical training and learning in Hindustani vocal music, which strengthens my teaching approach and understanding of the art form.

Over the past 6 years, I have been actively involved in both learning and teaching Hindustani vocal music. During this time, I have worked with students from different age groups and skill levels, guiding them step by step from basic to intermediate vocal training. My focus has always been on building strong musical fundamentals and developing correct vocal techniques.

My teaching approach emphasizes voice training, breath control, pitch accuracy, and riyaz (practice discipline). I ensure that students develop a strong foundation in the basics of Hindustani classical music, which is essential for long-term growth in this field. I believe consistency and correct guidance are key to improving vocal quality.

My classes are structured and practice-oriented, following a step-by-step lesson plan that gradually builds student capability. I provide regular vocal exercises and personalized feedback to help students correct mistakes and improve steadily. Each session is designed to strengthen both technical skills and confidence in singing.

I conduct both online and offline classes and use interactive teaching methods to keep students engaged. I use structured explanations, demonstrations, and practice sessions to ensure effective learning. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students can freely explore their voice and improve at their own pace.

Through my teaching, I strive to help students not only learn Hindustani vocal music but also develop discipline, dedication, and a lifelong connection with music. My goal is to nurture confident singers who understand the depth and beauty of classical music while building strong technical skills.
