To become IoT Engineer, below are a few fields you will require knowledge on:
1. A basic understanding of Electronics and Microcontrollers
2. Basics of networking and wireless communication protocols (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.)
3. A basic understanding of cloud concepts
If you have acquired the above 3 skills, you are good to start building IoT applications. However, IoT is very vast every day new technologies and protocols getting invented. A fundamental understanding of concepts will help you in adapting faster.
