Ankita Srivastava

I am a highly self-motivated botanist with over 9 years’ experience in Taxonomy (Plant Collection, Identification and Classification), Herbarium techniques and Curation, Molecular Biology and Tissue Culture. Having a comprehensive background in Genetics, Plant Physiology, Bryophyte taxonomy, Plant anatomy, Ecology and Basic molecular biology techniques, I am extremely interested in obtaining a teaching position where I can contribute to its focus on Biological education. I have completed my doctorate from AcSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI, Lucknow). My dissertation entitled “Studies on moss flora of Khasi hills, Meghalaya (North-East India)” I have worked as guest faculty-full time at the Department of Botany, Bangalore University, Bangaluru and have teaching experience in undergraduate and post-graduate studies. I have also worked on projects entitled“Assessment of bryo-diversity Manipur (North Eastern Hills)” and another project entitled “morphogenesis reproductive biology and ex-situ conservation of selected endangered, threatened and potential bryophytes under the guidance of Dr. A.K.
