Introduction:
Most NEET aspirants spend 80% of their time on topics that only yield 20% of the marks. After clearing MBBS, I’ve analyzed the last 10 years of papers to show you exactly where to focus your energy to maximize your score in the final months.
1. The "Must-Win" Chapters (High Weightage)
Don't just read the NCERT cover-to-cover; master these 5 units first. They consistently provide nearly 50-60% of the Biology questions:
• Genetics & Evolution: High concept-based questions (Vanshavali/Pedigree).
• Human Physiology: The backbone of your medical career. Focus on Digestion and Endocrine.
• Plant Physiology: Specifically Photosynthesis and Respiration cycles.
• Ecology: Easy scoring, but students often ignore the data/years mentioned.
• Biotechnology: Small units, huge marks.
2. The "Doctor’s Trick" for NCERT Diagrams
• Labeling: Don’t just look at the diagram. Cover the labels and try to name them.
• Captions: NEET often picks questions from the small text under the diagrams that everyone skips.
• Summary: The "Summary" at the end of the chapter often contains 1-2 lines not found in the main text. Read them!
3. The 3-Step Revision Cycle
If you want to retain 100% of what you read:
1. Read: Active reading (highlighting only keywords).
2. Recall: Close the book and explain the concept to an "imaginary student."
3. Solve: Do 50 PYQs (Previous Year Questions) immediately after finishing a chapter.
4. My Top Recommendation
Focus on Animal & Plant Kingdom last. Why? Because they require rote memorization. Keep them fresh for the final 2 weeks before the exam so you don't forget the examples.
Closing Tip:
Success in NEET UG isn't about how much you know; it’s about how much you can accurately recall under pressure. Start your mock tests today!
