What are relations and functions? While a ‘relation’ is a set of inputs and outputs
expressing a relationship between the two values, ‘functions’ are relations that make
sense. So, in other words, all functions are relations, however, all relations are not
functions. For every input of a function, there is only one single output. In NCERT

Section 1.4 – In this section, you’ll acquire knowledge about the composition of
functions and the inverse of a bijective function.
Section 1.5 – In this section, you’ll study different binary operations such as
commutative binary operations and associative binary operations.
