Online Classes I distinctly remember my first month of classes. I was a silent, shy 10-year-old who lacked any kind of confidence. Fast forward to 8 years later, I have performed as a part of a band in school during competitions and in college during exhibitions. Bit by bit, not only did Mr Naveen build an ardent guitarist but also instilled into me a good amount of music intuition which helps me significantly contribute as a band member. His teaching style is dynamic; he changes how and what he teaches depending on the student's interest and aptitude. In my case, I wasn’t ‘special’ in any way, so we followed The Mel-Bay series of books until I got a hang of how the guitar worked and then we moved on to a mix of the Trinity system and Mel-Bay. A few years later, I got bored of playing to a prescribed curriculum, so I asked him to teach me improvisation. Thereafter, I learnt music theory, composition and general advanced techniques in classes. Presently sitting about 800 km away from home, I do not get to attend classes anymore, but Mr Naveen is kind enough to remain in touch online and help with whatever questions I have, pertaining to music, performances etc. Over the last 8 years, not only did I learn how to play a musical instrument, but I also found a friend and mentor for life. Given the chance, I would gladly relive the 8 years of learning the instrument with the best guitar teacher I have ever met, Mr Naveen. P.S: To whoever reads this review, I humbly request you to stick with the instrument (and the instructor) and blindly trust the process, especially when you feel like giving up, as in my case, it took a LONG time before I could play the songs I wanted. Mr Naveen did not teach me any particular song; Instead, he gave me all the tools I needed to learn any song I like (which was difficult to grasp back then, because frankly nothing made sense). However, these tools are the reason I can significantly contribute during my band practices.
