I have wide experience in Linux for past 15 years and the key areas of Linux I worked is summarized below.
1. Installation & user training in Linux.
2. Procedure for hardening Linux operating system to keep it safe from OS vulnerability.
3. Firewall set up through IPTABLES in Linux
4. Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of sendmail servers to handle user mails.
5. Installation & configuration of Web (httpd) server, Domain Name Server,
6. Set up of Squirrel mail for web based access to user mails.
7. Set up of dovecot servers so that users can access mails from their desktop using POP3 and IMAP client.
8. Configuration of mail servers, web server to provide maximum security.
9. Disaster recovery of user account, password and group information, user data etc. in case of sudden failure of operating system. For this, proper methods were designed for back up of user information on regular basis & restore the system during crash without losing time.
10. Disaster recovery of user mails , web server through scheduled back up all relevant data and put them in place during crisis.
11. Have full knowledge of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting Linux based Trend Micro anti-virus software namely imss & iwss.
12. Scheduled Shell script to backup all configuration files , system files, user data and archiving of mail.
13. Have set up DHCP server and Squid pro
