I am an academic professional and Civil Engineering educator with 15 years of teaching experience, specializing in Structural Engineering and core Civil Engineering subjects. My teaching journey has been dedicated to helping engineering students develop strong conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills required for both academic success and professional growth.

I hold a Master of Engineering (M.E./M.Tech.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Engineering. I completed my Ph.D. from NIT Durgapur, where I focused extensively on advanced structural concepts and research-based learning. My strong academic background enables me to teach complex engineering topics in a simplified and structured manner, making them accessible even to students who initially struggle with the subject.

Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Hooghly Engineering and Technology College, a position I have held since 2013. Along with my academic responsibilities, I also provide both online and offline tuition to B.Tech students and engineering aspirants. This dual exposure allows me to understand student needs at both classroom and individual levels and adapt my teaching accordingly.

My core expertise lies in Structural Analysis and Design, Solid Mechanics, Surveying, Introduction to Civil Engineering, and Bridge Engineering. I also have hands-on proficiency in industry-relevant software such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, SAP2000, ANSYS, ABAQUS, and ETABS. I integrate these tools into my teaching wherever applicable to ensure that students gain both theoretical understanding and practical exposure to real-world engineering applications.

My teaching methodology is structured, interactive, and concept-driven. I begin each topic with fundamental principles, followed by step-by-step explanations and solved examples to ensure clarity. I strongly emphasize problem-solving practice, application-based learning, and continuous revision. I also conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and identify areas that require additional attention.

In my classes, I ensure that students not only understand the syllabus but also develop the confidence to apply engineering concepts independently. I actively encourage doubt-solving, discussions, and analytical thinking to strengthen their understanding. My goal is to build a strong academic foundation that prepares students for examinations as well as competitive engineering challenges.

In addition to teaching, I have contributed to the academic field through research publications, journal articles, and authored books in Civil and Structural Engineering. These academic contributions reflect my continuous engagement with advanced learning and my commitment to staying updated with developments in the field. I strive to bring this depth of knowledge into my teaching so that students benefit from both academic rigor and practical insights.
