As a Senior Lecturer in Prosthodontics at a dental college affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nagpur, teaching has been a core and continuous part of my academic role, integrated closely with my clinical practice in prosthodontics and implantology. My teaching responsibilities span both didactic and clinical instruction for BDS and MDS students. I have delivered structured, institutionally documented lecture sessions, with formal records of session content and attendance, ensuring that instruction aligns with university curriculum standards and is auditable for academic compliance. Beyond classroom teaching, I regularly guide students through clinical and pre-clinical procedures in prosthodontics, helping them translate theoretical concepts into hands-on patient care — an area where my own clinical experience (approximately five years post-BDS, including two years of focused post-MDS practice) directly strengthens the quality of mentorship I can offer. My specialized certifications in digital dentistry, porcelain veneers, and anterior composites allow me to bring current, technique-specific knowledge into tuition and training sessions, particularly useful for students preparing for practical examinations or seeking exposure to modern restorative and esthetic workflows that may not be fully covered in standard coursework. In addition to formal lectures, I have been actively involved in community dental outreach camps, which serve a dual purpose: providing patient care to underserved populations while giving students supervised, real-world clinical exposure. Organizing and documenting these camps has also given me experience in coordinating group learning environments outside the traditional classroom setting. My research background — including a published overdenture case report, work on the Orofacial Esthetic Scale, and a thesis on zirconia bond strength — has additionally positioned me to mentor students in research methodology, case documentation, and academic writing, which are often weak points for students preparing for exams or thesis submissions. Overall, my teaching approach combines structured academic delivery, clinical mentorship, and research guidance, shaped by hands-on experience across prosthodontic practice, community outreach, and formal university-affiliated instruction. This combination allows me to support students not just in passing examinations, but in developing the practical and analytical skills required for competent clinical practice.
