I am currently working as a primary teacher at a village school in Bachiti, Uttarakhand. My role involves independently managing a multi-grade classroom of approximately 15 students from Classes 2 to 4. I teach all core subjects—English, Mathematics, and Science—and also handle Moral Science and General Knowledge sessions. One of my key achievements has been developing a personalised learning system for my students. When I started, many children could not read at their grade level. I assessed each child individually, created a bridge plan, and began daily phonics and reading practice. Within weeks, students who had never read aloud before were confidently reading in front of the class and asking for homework. I also introduced daily emotional check-ins, where children share how they feel each morning, creating a safe and supportive classroom environment. I am skilled at maintaining classroom discipline through clear rules and a structured routine, while also building warm, trusting relationships with my students. I regularly communicate with parents about their children's progress and handle all administrative tasks, including daily lesson planning, diary entries, and progress tracking. This experience has taught me patience, adaptability, and how to connect with children who have very different learning needs. It has confirmed that teaching is not just about completing a syllabus—it is about seeing each child and helping them believe they can learn.
