IdentityI have a diverse background in education, having taught students across different age groups and learning levels in both formal and non-traditional settings. My journey began with Teach For India, where I worked as a full-time teaching fellow in a low-income government school. This experience shaped my ability to adapt curriculum for under-resourced classrooms, design engaging lesson plans, and manage classrooms with empathy and structure.
Following that, I continued teaching through non-profit educational initiatives, focusing on improving English fluency, confidence, and communication skills among students from small towns and tier-3 cities. I worked closely with students from Grades 4 to 8, often tailoring content for learners with very basic language skills. I used interactive methods, including games, debates, and storytelling, to make learning more accessible and enjoyable.
Most recently, I taught at a privately funded school supported by international sponsors, where I was responsible for developing conversational English and foundational academic skills. I also supported other learning areas like math and geography when needed.
Across all these experiences, I’ve not only taught core subjects but also helped students build soft skills like public speaking, listening comprehension, and critical thinking—especially in contexts where English is a second or third language.
