I'm a Music teacher/Professional Singer/Composer specialising in Hindustani Classical singing as well as Western Vocal techniques.

I'm also a working professional in the music industry as a Singer and Music Composer. I have worked in 4 films and several documentaries and performed in various live shows across the city.

I have also worked with independent artists on youtube as a vocal coach. My job was to groom them for singing live and also to help them with the tips and tricks to perform in a high-pressure environment of a vocal recording studio. My Qualification:
1. I have performed as a lead singer for a local band in my hometown for over 3 years performing in various colleges and festivals. We toured in other states for official events. Here I learned the art of performing live and how to be focused when all the eyes are watching you. How to be relaxed while performing live as a relax mind will lead to relaxed and effortless singing. I tried different tricks to know what works and what don't in singing live. Even the smallest thing as how to hold a microphone while singing can make a huge impact on the performance and can tell you a lot about the performer's mindset.

2. I have learned Hindustani Classical music for 2 years in Mumbai from Ajivasan Academy which was founded by Mr Suresh Wadkar. Here I learned about the Sur(Pitch) which is the most important aspect of singing along with Taal(Rhythm). How each and every note relates to one another and how we can apply these techniques while singing songs. It enabled me to make choices while performing and overall made me a better singer. 3. I did a Classical and Playback singing course from reputed Mumbai Film Academy. Here I came to know about the difference in singing live and singing in a recording environment. I learned that only the Hindustani classical singing and control over your Sur is not enough to do playback singing for a movie or recording any new song. Modulating the voice, Dynamics, Voice projection, Vibrato, Resonance these factors are also crucial to deliver an impactful and emotional performance which can touch people's hearts. I recorded several songs in recording studios and got some insights into how we can sometimes go overboard in order to impress people and how sometimes a simple story said in a simple and honest way can touch people. 4. I learned Western Classical singing from KM Music Conservatory in Chennai which is founded by Mr A R Rahman. Here I learned about the anatomy of our voice. Your instrument is your body. You are the trumpet, the guitar, the cello. Vocalists have given an instrument at birth no refund no return. Singers and both the instrument and the player. In Chennai, I learned how to build a consistent and dependable instrument which can assist me in singing my ideas. Breathing, Posture, Tongue placement, Tone all these factors contribute hugely to the overall singing.

I'm still learning about new vocal techniques as it is fascinating to know that our voice is a gift of nature and it can do so much beyond our imagination. It can change people's life and impact them in a way that they feel inspired. If we have the passion and desire to move people with our inner voice and our singing it's our responsibility to train our voice and to get it ready so when the time comes and we perform with all our heart, they know what we are all about.
