- During my internship training, I had the opportunity to engage in teaching. As part of my role, I was involved in teaching undergraduate medical students,and nursing students. The focus of teaching was bedside clinical examinations and procedures including blood sampling, IV cannulations. - I also have experience of informal teaching through various positions held during my MBBS. I conducted small working group teachings (including groups of 4-5 students) as part of a Student led Surgical society called Cutting Edge Manipal, in my medical school Kasturba Medical College Manipal on topics including 1. Surgical Suturing 2. Basic Life Support Management 3. Endotracheal intubation 4. Catheterization 5. Wound dressing 6. Lumbar Puncture - As a part of Medical Students Association of India(MSAI)- as the Local Officer for Human Rights and Peace - I held small working group teachings (Including groups of 10-12 people) on topics including but not limited to 1. Organ Donation 2. Disaster Management and Preparedness. 3. Education on Human Rights and Peace - I received positive comments from students and peers regarding my teaching skills. Many appreciated my ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and concise manner. - Overall, the experience of teaching during my internship training was a valuable one, and I look forward to continuing to develop my teaching skills as my medical career progresses.
