I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, with Political Science and History as my minors. I started home tutoring post my Bachelor's and, somewhere along the way, realised that I genuinely enjoyed teaching and working with children. That experience has eventually led me to pursue an Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

I have taught English and Social Science to students as a home tutor. My approach is pretty simple: I first try to understand the child, their level of understanding, what they enjoy, where they need a little extra support, and how they learn best. I then plan my lessons around them, using activities and examples of real-life situations to make learning more engaging.

I don't believe that good teaching is just about finishing chapters or getting answers right. For me, the best part is when a child who was struggling with something suddenly gets it, becomes more confident, and gives you that little smile that says, "Oh, I understand now!" That smile is probably my favourite measure of success as a teacher.
