Hi, Mandy here Senior ABAP consultant, System Architect. Don't consider the 5 years as a gap you have learnt new skills in that time right? Considering the 5 years academic experience rather going in for something Technical like ABAP or basis go for something that like BI-BW, BO or HANA. If I have to staff my project with ABAP programmers I would go for consultants with say 3.5 to 5 years experience in ABAP rather than some one too experienced. For data handling I would go for someone with some level of maturity and of course technical skills.

Hi Vivek, Firstly whatever you do , it should really interest you & you have to have an aptitude for it. You are in sales may be because at that time you were just looking for a job. If your intention is to get into the software development field then you should leverage your current strength viz. Sales. Keeping that in mind you could do SAP - Sales & Distribution. on the other hand Even at this stage if you should switch to Android development it is ok, since mobility is doing well & salaries are so & so. Document splitting allows you to display documents using a differentiated representation. In the representation, line items are split according to selected dimensions. In this way, you can draw up complete financial statements for the selected dimensions at any time. Using the document splitting procedure, you can also create a segmented display of a (partial) balance sheet according to a set of legal requirements (for example, IAS) or according to areas of responsibility. In addition, you can allocate at the time of posting additional costs (such as realized or valuated exchange rate differences) to the CO account assignment objects to which the costs relate. Assets can also be subsequently capitalized at the time of posting. As per New GL PCA there are two entry views one for Entry view and General Ledger view. In General Ledger view you can find the document splitting. For example Material purchased for two differant profit centers under One Invoice. Entry view Expenses Dr 100 Profit center 1 Expemses Dr 100 Profit center 2 To Vendor Cr 200 General Ledger View Expenses Dr 100 Profit center 1 Expenses Dr 100 Profit center 2 To Payable Cr 100 Profit center 1 Payable Cr 100 Profit center 2 If you see the general ledger view you can find the object of document splitting. Under Business Area concept you can not find this facility

There is no 100% placement. if anybody says so please take it with a large pinch of salt. Your getting a job is more based on the competence you can project and that is based more on how well you train. Certification or no certification does not matter much during a consultant selection especially SAP freshers
