Let me introduce myself to you all. I am Poonam Thakkar. A Mehendi artist by profession.

A house wife and a mother who is very passionate about mehendi and its designs, I started applying basic Mehendi on my hands at a very early age, as a hobby. As a hobby I started applying mehendi to my elder sister and friends and other women in the neighborhood during various festivals and occasions.

With encouragement from the family and friends and my inclination towards mehendi art, I decided to make a career into this field. As the love for mehendi turned into passion and to keep up with the various trends, designs in this field, it was necessary to learn the various mehendi art forms.

I started learning various mehendi designs like Arabic mehendi, traditional mehendi designs, Bridal designs, Indo Arabic, Designer, Floral, Zardosi, Black mehendi and other forms. With the knowledge of learning various designs, I started practicing this new found knowledge of various designs on the women in the neighborhood. These mehendi designs applied during various occasions were loved by one and all. Word started spreading about my designs and I started receiving orders. Orders stared coming, to apply mehendi for various occasions and festivals like, Diwali, Navratri, Teej, Karva Chauth, Thread Ceremony, Godh Bharai & Baby shower, Eid, Ganeshutsav, Mehendi parties.
