The following apply at least to us,and I am sure to many institutions into E- learning. 1.access to certifications to locations you cannot access due to job/time constraints. We have certifications from IIT Delhi,something I'm sure people in jobs/ other institutions will have difficulty getting. 2.flexible learning hours /timings 3.24 hour support and personalized interaction with one person ,albeit via skype/phone or message . 4.Less use of rote learning and memorizing .The most basic kind of E learning systems,give you an opportunity to get back to information during exercises.You can interact and solve problems with students from all over India or even world. 5.Higher access to information.The kind of courses and degrees you would get in an online training,are higher than the 5 graduate options,2 master options available with most universities.Plus they are UGC approved. 6.E learning institutes are easier to get into than traditional universities,as don't have a fixed infrastructure requirement and batches are more frequent than once or twice a year. 7.Most E learning institutes today have part time classes or part time meeting with instructor where you can solve your doubts. 8.More Industry related.Most E learning institutes (like ours) our founded by people who are already into Industry Training,so the quality of training you get will be having elements you will use in actual jobs. 9.Fast paced degrees/learning track- Since online learning doesn't need to have a teacher training in for 8 hours a day for information transfer,students can finish their courses faster,if they are well aware of the course material and the practical applications.You do not need to be in obsolete classes for long,and if you are already good at the course,you don't need to wait for next semester. --- Cons 1.personalized attention- while good e learning institutes may give you multiple ways to be in touch with a teacher, going to class everyday and meeting teachers directly can never be completely replaced by an online medium.They can also give you direct feedback on time. 2.The ambiance- The class ambiance ,is something people cherish and will take time to be replaced by an online medium. 3.Internet Connection- Some places may not have good Internet Connection.It takes a good quality net connection to have a good learning experience with E learning.We provide virtual Classrooms in Mumbai and select cities,but rest need a net connection. 4. Interaction with teachers and students -Sometimes the most life building experiences happen in an environment conducive to learning,and colleges are generally designed with that thought. ----
