yes,,they wont hire u as fresher..but u can learn SAS /R and and then do couple of case study using these language and your Stats knowledge..i mean data science work. for data science -- hey are mostly interested in the approach and data exploration, lastly they ask few question on language part(Like... ...more

So better choose Data science kind of work.
