I have been teaching Violin to students from past 5 years in around 4 different countries, i Follow the free style method of teaching because I feel that you should be able to play anything on the violin be it western or folk or classical. Free style method helps you to learn things faster and makes complicated stuff very easy to catch, So in traditional methods if you would learn to play something in 6 months in free style method it will take only 3 months to learn the same thing ,but remember all depends upon the time you spend in practicing the technique.
