I am Anjali Sharma, a Vocal Music and Music Theory teacher with 10 years of teaching experience. I have been passionate about music since childhood, and over the years, this passion has developed into a fulfilling journey of learning, performing, teaching, and sharing music with others. I currently work with a renowned music school in Mumbai, where I teach Vocal Music and Music Theory. My aim is to help students develop their musical abilities while building a strong understanding and appreciation of music.

I am formally trained in Indian Classical Music and have completed my Visharad in Indian Classical Music. This training has given me a strong foundation in Indian Classical Vocal Music, along with a deeper understanding of Music Theory. I also hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA). My formal musical training and years of teaching experience allow me to approach music education in a structured way while keeping the lessons practical, engaging, and suitable for the individual needs of each student.

In Vocal Music, I focus on helping students develop a strong musical foundation before gradually progressing towards more advanced learning. My lessons include voice culture, sur, taal, breathing techniques, alankars, regular practice, and song-based learning. I believe that consistent practice is essential for developing vocal control and musical confidence. I guide students step by step so that they can understand the fundamentals properly and gradually improve their voice, accuracy, expression, and overall musical ability.

I also teach Music Theory and believe that theoretical knowledge plays an important role in developing a complete understanding of music. I explain theoretical concepts using simple language and practical examples so that students can understand how the concepts relate to what they sing and practise. I maintain a balance between theory and practical application, helping students understand not only the concepts but also how they can use their knowledge in their own musical practice.

My teaching methodology combines structured lessons, practical learning, and interactive classes. I plan each lesson according to the student's current level, learning pace, and individual goals. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate during the sessions. I believe that every student has a different learning style, so I try to create a comfortable environment where they can learn at their own pace while also being encouraged to practise consistently and develop their musical confidence.

Apart from vocal music, I also play the keyboard, have a basic understanding of guitar, and play the tanpura. These instruments have helped me develop a broader perspective on music and support my understanding of melody, rhythm, accompaniment, and musical structure. I bring this wider musical perspective into my teaching wherever it can benefit the student. I also believe that learning music should be enjoyable, and I encourage students to explore their musical interests while maintaining discipline and regular practice.

My goal as a teacher is to make the process of learning music enjoyable, meaningful, and structured. I want my students to develop not only better vocal skills but also a deeper understanding of music and greater confidence in their abilities. I believe that sharing knowledge is one of the best ways to keep the rich traditions of music alive and growing. Through my 10 years of teaching experience, I strive to provide patient and personalised guidance that helps every student progress steadily and build a lasting connection with music.
