MS SQL General Lessons
How long it takes me to learn SQL. Could someone please answer to my below questions. 1.what is the difference between SQL N plsql 2. If we learn SQL no need of learning Ms access (I know basic of access)?

SQL is fairly easy to learn when compared to regular programming languages like Java. Although, you get the hang of the basic syntax within a day or two, it would take about a week to become comfortable with writing queries (joins, inner queries, unions etc.) While a SQL query does only a single operation -- a create, fetch, update, or delete -- PL/SQL lets one write stored procedures, triggers etc. which are equivalent to writing methods in a programming language. A stored procedure executes some logic, makes use of variables, usually fires multiple SQL queries and may even call other stored procedures. MS Access is not used as a database in corporate environments anywhere. You'll need to learn one of Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
