White box testing and black box testing are two different ways to test software, and the main difference between them is the level of access the tester has to the software: White box testing Involves testing the software from the inside out, examining the internal structure and logic of the software to find bugs and validate code quality. White box testing requires in-depth technical knowledge and can expose issues like security vulnerabilities, broken paths, or data flow issues. Black box testing Involves testing the software from the user's perspective, without any knowledge of its internal workings. Black box testing focuses on the software's behavior, usability, and meeting functional requirements. Black box testing is often used later in the testing process as the product approaches launch. Some practitioners combine white box and black box testing to achieve a more comprehensive inspection of the software. read less
