The main difference between test adequacy criteria for black-box and white-box testing is that black-box criteria are based on requirements, while white-box criteria are based on program code: Black-box testing Test adequacy criteria are based on the requirements for the program under test. Black-box testing focuses on the system's external behavior and output, and aims to cover various input combinations and scenarios. White-box testing Test adequacy criteria are based on the program code under test. White-box testing focuses on the system's internal functioning, and aims to cover all possible code branches, statements, and conditions. Black-box testing doesn't require knowledge of the system's implementation, and is generally faster than white-box testing. White-box testing can help identify bugs at the design level, and requires knowledge of programming, software architecture, and design patterns. read less
