Windows has borne the major brunt of 0-day exploits, viruses, trojans, adware and other malware because it has enjoyed a near monopoly in the desktop space. The more the number of users, the more money there is in exploiting the platform. Just look at the mobile space to get what I'm saying. There are more exploits available for iOS and Android (which is a flavor of Linux for mobiles) than Windows phone; why? Because, not many people are using it! read less
