Some of the popular Linux OS are ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, Debian, Linux Mint, CentOS etc. My personal choice is Ubuntu 18.04 (latest version). I am using it since last 10 years.

You should know the basic infrastructure data flow, cloud computing platform before go-ahead for the AWS /DevOps etc. First you need to study Linux to play on this environment
