this may help you! 26.2.1. Reinstalling the Boot Loader In many cases, the GRUB boot loader can mistakenly be deleted, corrupted, or replaced by other operating systems. The following steps detail the process on how GRUB is reinstalled on the master boot record: Boot the system from an installation boot medium. Type linux rescue at the installation boot prompt to enter the rescue environment. Type chroot /mnt/sysimage to mount the root partition. Type /sbin/grub-install /dev/hda to reinstall the GRUB boot loader, where /dev/hda is the boot partition. Review the /boot/grub/grub.conf file, as additional entries may be needed for GRUB to control additional operating systems. Hello All, Thank you so much for being there to have almost every question answered. I would to let you guys know of my misery and help me out. I have been working in an IT company for the many years now with absolutely no idea of what domain I am in. Its a normal IT job where I do not perform anything technical. And I think I am not going anywhere with this. Especially when I am almost 32 now. I know its late. Also I am not good at coding and guess I won't be able to learn coding. 'But', I do have some idea about SQL and at times & I think maybe I can try my hands at learning SQL. I also have a deep urge to learn Linux. The reason I mentioned SQL and LINUX is only because I think they wouldn't be too tricky(as much as JAVA, C, or any other programming language). Please let me know if I can go ahead with learning SQL and LINUX and if I do, What all roles can i apply for, in the future. I'd be grateful to you.
