You must and must have to connect your PC with internet before doing following Oracle install steps for your linux machine: Please go through following steps: 1. install golang-golang-x-tools 2. dpkg --configure -a #please wait after giving this command, system will check following file existance. linux-image-4.4.0-87-generic (4.4.0.87.110) 3. You might want to run 'apt-get -f install XYZ' to correct these: where XYZ is either of the following instances of oracle after doing above 2 steps 'oracle-java7-installer' 'oracle-java7-jdk' 'oracle-java9-jdk' 'oracle-java8-installer' 'oracle-java8-jdk' 'oracle-java9-installer' 4. In case if its not get install Oracle with above steps, then you have to degrade the linux version from .93 to .89 as follows: The following packages have unmet dependencies: linux-generic : Depends: linux-headers-generic (= 4.4.0.87.93) but 4.4.0.83.89 is to be installed And do the same step number: 3 only.
