Can you encrypt a database on a Linux machine while it is serving requests but only a specified user can read it?

Hello Ambar :-). You needn’t encrypt the entire database. Most databases come with crypto packages that allow for encrypt/decrypt functions with keys (passwords) that can be unique in any way you wish to design the system (message exchange by message exchange, or use the same keys for a period of time between each unique communicating pair,…). If not within the database, you could choose to implement the encryption/decryption within your app, or other server. Regardless, these are but design considerations; this is possible. Hello All, Thank you so much for being there to have almost every question answered. I would to let you guys know of my misery and help me out. I have been working in an IT company for the many years now with absolutely no idea of what domain I am in. Its a normal IT job where I do not perform anything technical.
