Q. Sum of two numbers is 95. If one exceeds the other by 15, find the numbers.

Ans:

Let One number be X. Therefore , the other number will be X+15.

According to the question,

X+X+15= 95

or, 2X+15=95

or, 2X=(95-15)

or, 2X= 80

or, X= 40

So one number is 40. And the another number is (40+15)=55.
