That definitely depends on the context but it sure is a valuable trait. Patience in excess, however, could lead to complacency. Idealization of patience could steer situations where individuals tolerate unfavourable circumstances or relationships for too long, or even lose opportunities. Instead, striking a balance between assertiveness and patience, and recognizing when to let either take a lead is a wiser approach, in my opinion.
