SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization; called as SEO. When anyone searches for a particular topic in the search engine, then the search engine provides some results in the form of pages. As Digital Marketers, We will optimize the search engine and its results to show our website or client website on the first page of the search results.
The main goal of any marketer or any site will be his website.And the product should be on the top in any search engine results to have more business and profits. To achieve it as Digital Marketers, We will follow some methods to bring the results to the top. This is not a simple process that anyone can do and submit to the search engines. There are some rules and regulations that are levied by the search engines that are to be strictly followed by each and everyone to achieve the best position in the search results. By imposing these rules, search engines make sure that correct and accurate information is shown to the users that come to visit their search engines.
What are the methods that followed?
The work we do is mainly divided into two: On-Page Optimization and Off-Page Optimization. Here On-Page refers to the optimization techniques that are done on the website page that is shown to the users. And the Off-Page refers to the backend work that is done to satisfy the search engine rules and regulations. The On-Page consists of maintaining the proper header tags, Meta tags such as Meta description, Meta keywords, Meta Titles, Robots Meta tags, ALT Text, Canonical Tags. Meta tags offer more details about your site to search engines and the people who visit your site so that your website can stand out in the search results. Search Engines will give more importance to the sites that offer good user experience and sites which satisfies user’s queries. As said, Off-Page will consist of the work that is done backend to satisfy search engine rules and also to increase the position of the site in search results. This will include gaining Backlinks from the trusted sites, Social Media Optimization for promoting the sites in different social media.

Last year I got a chance to work with an eCommerce company. Their main focus was to sell firecrackers online for special occasions.
To drive the traffic beside social media traffic, their main goal was to drive traffic from Google. When I get accessed to the AdWords account here what I found:
Three hundred sixty-seven total keywords placed under one campaign. The average CPC was $1.17, and the conversion rate was 2.4%. The average per product they made a net profit of $22 (without deducting the advertisement cost).
When I calculate the monthly income, I was shocked:
They were spending $5,000 per month on AdWords every month. Estimated clicks from that money spent are 4273 clicks, which is approximately 4300 clicks.
Now, if we consider a 2.4% conversion rate, then on average the site was creating 103 sales. An approximate of 105 sales per month.
Per month they were generating profit (without deducting the ads spend) approximate $2,310 per month estimated $2350.
So, over ($5000 - $2350) = $2650 net loss.
Now, when I analyzed the account in detailed here where are a few main issues found:
And several other issues.
After a through AdWords account audit, creating new ads, changing landing pages, creating new designs and monitor the whole campaign for a month the result becomes as follows:
CPC: CPC reduced from $1.17 to $0.69.
CR: Improved from 2.4% to 5.2%.
Total budget: $4000
Total traffic: 5800
Total sale: 302
Total Profit (excluding ads cost - $22 per sale): $6,644
So, Net real profit: $6644 - $4000 = $2,644 per month
Although: We reduced the budget from $5000 to $4000 per month and allocate $1,000 to focus on remarketing budget. For long term remarketing budget will be increased and generate long term returning profits.
So, be careful using AdWords. Users behavior is changing, competition is changing to create a strategy as per your need. Remember,
"Changing rules for changing needs & unchanging rules for unchanging needs"

However; relatively few of the people out there who have heard of pay per click advertising understand fully what it is. So how can it benefit your business and is it even applicable to your particular business genre? Also what about costs? How does it stack up cost-wise when compared to other standard forms of advertising?
The name pay per click is used because that is basically how it works. That is that you pay a set amount of money every time a person clicks on an advertised add that takes them directly to your site. The exact amount you end up paying is contingent on several factors and that’s where pay per click can get confusing and costly unless you are aware.
Right now the most influential, recognizable names in pay per click advertising are Yahoo, MSN and Google. So which one is the most popular out of the these three? That, of course, would be Google, due to the fact that they have the top-ranked search engine on the Internet. In fact, Google almost dominates pay per click completely.
On the surface pay per click is very uncomplicated. You simply contact and sign on with the pay per click service that you have chosen. The next step will be to set up your particular adds, decide the maximum amount of money that you’re willing to pay per click and that’s about it. However; as simple as this sounds, just like so many other aspects of business, the devil is in the details.
