The process of plants prepare their own food is called photosynthesis. Photo means light and synthesis means to prepare. Plants absorb water from their roots and with the help of sunlight and carbon dioxide,they make the food and get the energy. We can say the leaf is the kitchen of the plant. They release glucose and oxygen as products after photosynthesis.
