I am a language instructor with 15 years of experience teaching Portuguese and Telugu. My classes are aimed at learners of all ages and backgrounds, and I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse cultures and linguistic foundations. My teaching focuses on not just grammar and vocabulary but also on cultural immersion, giving learners a comprehensive understanding of the language.
I hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and am proficient in both European and Brazilian Portuguese. Having lived in both Brazil and Portugal, I have first-hand experience with the nuances, dialects, and customs associated with the Portuguese language. This exposure allows me to offer authentic learning experiences to my students.
My classes are structured around certified textbooks from both Brazil and Portugal, designed specifically for A1 and A2 levels. Each course consists of 40 chapters and includes listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises. I make sure the sessions are interactive and goal-oriented, so students can measure their progress effectively.
Cultural elements are an essential part of my curriculum. I incorporate local traditions, daily expressions, festivals, and food habits into my teaching to help students understand the real-world use of the language. This approach makes learning more relatable and enjoyable.
Apart from teaching, I also work as a translator, specializing in Portuguese-to-English and English-to-Portuguese translation. This work has significantly strengthened my command over both languages and allows me to support students in academic, professional, and conversational settings.
My classes are conducted online for convenience and accessibility. I use PPTs, videos, and certified materials to deliver lessons. I also provide supporting notes and offer regular assessments to track student progress and tailor the sessions as per individual needs.
