I saw firsthand how: IB and Cambridge fostered global inquiry and independent skill-building. ICSE provided a rigorous foundation for academic excellence. I found my greatest joy in designing activities that moved beyond rote memorization, focusing instead on the creation, retention, and application of language. Watching a child’s confidence bloom as they transition from understanding a concept to creatively applying it is what drives my passion for the classroom. Even as I transitioned into my PhD program in Children’s Literature, I remained connected to the craft through online language training. Working with both children and adults from vastly different cultural backgrounds sharpened my ability to adapt my tone and tools to the digital space, ensuring that learning remains a human, engaging experience regardless of the medium.
