First of all, I want to clear one thing both have their own advantages. Further, home tuition can be divided into 2 types. 1. Online Tutor or 2. The tutor who is coming to teach you at your home.
Look if you have busy schedule or you have works lined up and you can't afford going institutes then home tuition is best. If the institute is closer, it will save you at least 1 hr travel time, otherwise, it can save more than an hour. Secondly, you will learn at your own pace.
Talking about institutes, if you have enough time you can join the institute. Not only the teacher will clear your doubts but also fellow members can help. It will also make you realize where you exist between them. So that you can work upon your weaknesses.
So both of them have advantages and disadvantages. It depends on your convenience what do you want to choose.
