Only one syllable. Indians, however tend to pronounce with two syllables as there is no vowel sound like /a??/ as in ‘aiye’. Indians wrongly pronounce it like ‘sa.ins’ ; dot (.) is the marker of syllable-breker. ‘Science’ is actually pronounced /sa??ns/ as if ‘saiens’ where there is no syllable breaker... ...more
