I have completed my Masters degree in History from Jadavpur University. (Completed Bachelor of Arts from the same place). My liking about the subject goes way back to childhood. History has always been a subject from which students (of all age groups) has always been very scared. They find it boring. My teaching and my learning about the subject has always been about breaking this age old myth about History.

History is no less interesting than any science subject. It's never ending and it should be studied with pure passion and accurate understanding as it is very well connected to our present times. Everything that is happening around us today is related to our past and has to be understood with reference of the past. My skills are mainly to explain students in easier form about the topics in such a manner so that they not only learn and remember about the topic and fetch good marks but also take great interest about it. Because I believe unless you are interested in something you can never excel in that thing .

Teaching History should not be about asking students to memorise events . Rather it should be placing your minds and reasoning in that particular event.
My interest in the field of History has always been related to Modern India, Modern Europe, Colonial History and Post-Colonial History.
