I have been teaching English at PlanetSpark since April, 2024. I have conducted 1:1 online live classes with individuals all over India in the age group of 6-35 years. I have helped academic counsellors design personalized courses for our students. I am experienced in using Learning Management Systems (LMS). Typically, my class begins with a brief introduction of myself followed by the student (for new students), or, asking the most memorable part of the day (for old students). Hereafter, I ask the student what s/he already knows about the topic. Next, I introduce the topic. Then, I have a generic discussion about the same with grown-ups, and if the student is in school, I play a fun game or conduct an activity to enable the student to grasp the concept. Then I introduce the core concept and its intricacies. Next, I ask the student to summarize the main concept in his/her own words. Finally, I ask the student for 3 key learnings from the class and how can the present topic be related to what we have learnt earlier. I believe in making learning fun and engaging for better retention. My focus is on explaining concepts through real-life examples for a better understanding. This is, definitely followed by solving questions and answers relevant to the course work.
