I am Moloy De, a retired Data Scientist with over 26 years of professional experience across reputed organisations such as TCS, Tech Mahindra and IBM. My professional journey has given me extensive exposure to data, statistics, analytics and technology, and I now enjoy using this experience to help students understand these subjects in a structured and practical way. I hold a PhD in Statistics from Calcutta University, and teaching has become a meaningful way for me to share the knowledge and experience I have gained throughout my career.

My academic background in Statistics, combined with my long professional experience in the technology industry, allows me to bring both theoretical understanding and practical perspective to my classes. I believe that students learn much better when concepts are explained clearly and connected to their real-world applications. Rather than simply focusing on memorising formulas or definitions, I encourage students to understand the reasoning behind a concept and develop the confidence to apply it independently.

I teach BSc Tuition, MSc Tuition and Data Science, and I work with students who want to strengthen their understanding of Statistics, data-related concepts and other topics connected to their academic curriculum. I understand that students at different levels may have different learning requirements, so I adapt my explanations according to their existing knowledge, academic goals and pace of learning.

With my experience as a Data Scientist, I can also help students understand how statistical concepts and data analysis are used beyond textbooks. My professional exposure to the technology industry gives me the ability to explain concepts from a practical perspective and help students appreciate their relevance in the real world. For students interested in pursuing higher studies or careers related to Statistics, Data Science or analytics, I aim to provide guidance that goes beyond just examination preparation.

I am also an experienced online teacher and am comfortable conducting structured and interactive classes virtually. In my online sessions, I focus on explaining concepts step by step, addressing doubts patiently and ensuring that the student is able to follow the topic before moving ahead. I believe that a good online class should be as engaging and personalised as an offline learning experience.

One of my key objectives as a teacher is to help students perform confidently in their examinations. I understand the importance of strong fundamentals, regular practice and proper guidance when preparing for academic assessments. I work towards helping students build conceptual clarity, improve their problem-solving approach and prepare systematically so that they can aim for excellent academic results, including scores of 90% and above with consistent effort and preparation.

Having spent more than two decades working in the professional world, I also try to give my students a broader perspective on what they are learning. My experience at TCS, Tech Mahindra and IBM has helped me understand how academic knowledge can eventually translate into practical skills and professional opportunities. I enjoy encouraging students to look at their subjects not just as examination requirements, but as foundations for their future academic and professional journeys.
