Biotechnology is a versatile field. This COVID-19 era has highlighted the importance of this domain. I started my career from Heritage Institute of Technology as a B.Tech in Biotechnology. I stood second in B.Tech from my University. My interest in this field motivated me to pursue higher studies in this subject, whereby, I qualified GATE and joined MS from IISER Kolkata. By this time I was determined to take up research as my career goals. So I qualified NET-UGC and joined Jadavpur University for Doctorate. During my PhD tenure, I had the opportunity to teach and train a number of students from different colleges. I even guided them to prepare for the competitive exams- GATE and NET. This developed my interest in the teaching profession. Education plays a significant role in the advancement of society. Teaching and learning are integral parts of the education system. This mode of transmission of knowledge helps in the development of society. It is my great endeavor to select teaching as my career objective so that I can guide the next generation for a bright future in this arena.
