Dr. Nirupam Dutta

I am a theoretical high energy physicist and have worked actively in various domains of theoretical physics such as Quantum Fields and Strongly Interacting matters, QCD thermodynamics, Theory and phenomenology of heavy ion collisions, Theory of open quantum systems , Non-locality in quantum mechanics, Measurement problems in Quantum Mechanics and physics of cold atoms. Though I am more of a high energy physicist but am oriented towards a multidisciplinary world of science, art and philosophy.

I completed my Ph.D. from University of Bielefeld, Germany and afterwards have spent several years as postdoctoral research fellow in various universities and research institutes in India and abroad. In 2020 such as VECC, UNI-BIELEFELD, UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI, UNIVERSITY OF PARIS SUED, CCNU WUHAN, IOP, BOSE INSTITUTE, NISER etc. I joined VIT, Chennai, India (A university mainly for engineering sciences) as an assistant Professor of Physics but left my job recently to switch my job to a kolkata based university.
