Right now I am a 2nd year MBBS Student. From a very young age I always used to love reading and learning about science. Biology is unique because of the complexity of living things and how they interact with each other and the environment.
As you start knowing more about nature (living organisms and it's interaction with nature and itself) you will love it, as you love it you will get curious to know more about it, that curiosity will bring interest in the subject and you start loving the subject( biology).
Biology is not only about of taxonomy, environmental biology, etc.., if you wished to become a Doctor you need to know about subjects such as Anatomy, Histology, Embryology etc.
