Debasish Roy

I teach Mathematics and Physics to students from Classes 9 to 12. Although I am new to teaching on UrbanPro, I bring 35 years of professional experience in government service along with a strong academic background in Mathematics. I now want to use my knowledge, analytical skills, and professional experience to support students in their academic journey.

I hold a PhD and Postdoctoral qualification in Mathematics, which has given me an in-depth understanding of Mathematics and strengthened my analytical and problem-solving abilities. My academic background has allowed me to explore Mathematics at an advanced level, and I enjoy using this understanding to explain concepts clearly.

My 35 years of experience in government service have also helped me develop qualities such as discipline, patience, responsibility, and communication. I believe these qualities are valuable in teaching because students need not only subject knowledge but also consistent guidance and encouragement.

I focus on building strong fundamentals in Mathematics and Physics. I believe that students should understand the logic behind a concept before moving towards complex problems. I therefore explain concepts systematically and then demonstrate how they can be applied to different types of questions.

I follow a structured and student-focused teaching approach. My classes include concept explanation, step-by-step problem solving, and practice questions. I encourage students to ask questions and discuss areas where they are facing difficulty so that I can provide appropriate guidance.

I conduct both online and offline classes and use PPT presentations and a whiteboard to support my teaching. I try to make complex concepts easier to understand by breaking them into smaller steps and giving students sufficient time to practise.

My goal is to help students develop confidence in Mathematics and Physics while strengthening their logical thinking and problem-solving skills. I want to use my academic expertise and professional experience to create a disciplined but supportive learning environment where students can steadily improve and become more independent learners.
