I am a journalist/writer/teacher, continuously honing my writing and speaking skills and passing them on to my students.

I have been a home tutor for over two years now. I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Shri Shikshayatan College under ther Calcutta University. I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Print Media from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai.

I currently work as a sub-editor at a popular local newspaper in Calcutta, so my grammatical skills are impeccable. I teach English the way it is to be taught- like a movie unfolding before your eyes so that you can live what you are reading and answer in a way as if you were there- with flair! I put particular stress on vocabulary building, which helps you with essays, letters, precis writing and comprehension passages, and can also help you to become a well-writen, well-spoken individual. Having a good vocabulary helps one to express themselves and understand any subject better. It's the trump card!

I've staged plays, worked as an actor, director and writer, and dabbled in podcasts as a voiceover artist. I have a love affair with history since before my high school days- a passion that still remains!

I won the national award for the UN's All India Essay Writing competition back in school, and have won other various awards in writing and theatre.
