I am a violin teacher with over 18 years of experience in guiding students through the intricate yet rewarding journey of learning this elegant instrument. I am formally trained in Western Classical Violin and have completed Grade 8 in Violin from a recognized international music board. In addition, I hold the Sangeeth Visharadh certification, which represents my grounding in classical Indian music as well.
Teaching the violin has been more than a profession for me—it’s a lifelong passion. Over the years, I have trained a wide spectrum of students, from young beginners who have never held a violin to advanced players preparing for music grade exams or public performances. My students have successfully completed international music exams and have showcased their talent in school concerts, competitions, and stage performances.
My approach to teaching is highly personalized. I believe that every learner has a unique pace, style, and musical preference. Whether it's Western classical pieces or Indian ragas, I adapt the curriculum to suit each student's goals and learning curve. I teach both in-person and online, depending on the needs and location of my students.
Technique, tone, and musicality form the core of my lessons. I emphasize bowing exercises, finger placement, music reading, and ear training right from the beginning. As students progress, we explore advanced compositions, improvisation techniques, and ensemble playing. I ensure that theory and practice are given equal importance, building a well-rounded musician.
Beyond the technical skills, I also focus on discipline, patience, and emotional expression through music. I believe that playing the violin is as much about inner growth as it is about external performance. Many of my students have shared how learning the violin has helped them become more focused, confident, and creative individuals.
While I am always happy to guide students preparing for formal grade exams, I equally welcome learners who are pursuing music for personal joy and expression. My goal is to make violin learning accessible, enjoyable, and fulfilling for everyone—regardless of age or background.
