What is differenc between enthalpy and entropy ?

enthaly is the total heat content of the system we can not mesure enthalpy as H=u+pv as wecanot determine the value of internal energy of system.but we can mesure the change in enthalpy.and entropy is simply defined as degree of randomness of the system. similarly we can measure only change in entropy... ...more
enthaly is the total heat content of the system we can not mesure enthalpy as H=u+pv as wecanot determine the value of internal energy of system.but we can mesure the change in enthalpy.and entropy is simply defined as degree of randomness of the system. similarly we can measure only change in entropy i.e equal to- (q)rev/T. whereas its logical meaning is heat flowed through system in reversible process divided by temperature.change in entropy gives the idea of thermodynamic phisiblity of reaction..

If the ratio of rates of diffusion of two gases is 4:3, then ratio of their molecular weights would be

rate of diffusion is directly propotional to 1/sqrt(molecularmass).. so n1/n2=sqrt(m2/m1) so answer would be 9:16
