Pathology is a second year subject. It tells you how a disease process looks at macro and microscopic level. For example depending on the no of blood cells and various indices you can decide if you have anemia and the type of anemia too.So every organ system undergoes change due to disease , it's important to know about it.Pathology is tissue diagnosis which is the ultimate answer to any disease process.Though other branches like radiology have a peak effort at diagnosing the disease, but only a histo pathological report can boost the diagnosis.

As said by others NEET is the entrance exam.I would like to tell you if you need mbbs seat and are financially well to do, then it's quite easier.Or else there is regular exam preparation. For few students it may take 2 years to get the seat. However number of years doesn't matter getting the seat is the final thing.
There are many deemed colleges also with management seats.Better to get seat in a government college or any deemed institute with good patient load.
